Close up of the garden
Just a better view of her creation. She was sooo proud of this one, and with GOOD reason!
First creation with her new clay
One of our best friends bought Marisa some new clay to work with because play dough doesn't seem to hold its shape well enough to make more 3D looking creations. Marisa is taking some time to get used to how firm this new clay is - but she really likes what she can do with it. All of this was created by her. Mom showed her how to make the flowers, and then she made her own for her "garden".

Playdough art 11/05
If there is one thing Marisa loves more than drawing - its creating with playdough. She adores making "scenes" out of it. And I love watching her!

Feel better mom
This was a present for me. I'm one lucky mom. Who wouldn't feel better with something like this to look at? Besides I've always wanted to be a fairy :-)
Nana's cakes
Marisa recently spent the weekend with Nana Marla and grandpa. She had a great time and drew this when she came home. Its of her and Nana - at Nana's house and she has cakes in the window and flowers in her yard. Thanks Nana.. she had a great time.

First painting saved
And here is her first painting I have saved. There were probably hundreds before this, but that was before I became emotionally attached to each piece of art she produced.
She explained to me that this is her under a rainbow - she is happy and her pony Chrystal is watching her.

In the begining
Here is one of the earliest drawings I have saved. Marisa did this last summer. I would guess July or August 2005. I started saving her art around this time. This is our family. Aren't we cute?

Purpose of this Blog....
Well there are a few reasons.
#1 I have a really talented toddler. Of course every mom thinks that about her children so please do not shatter my world by telling me she is merely "average" :-)
#2 I really need something to take my mind off everything that is going on right now and I feel that I can put some positive energy into this.
#3 Nothing makes Marisa more "proud" than when mommy puts her art on the internet. She is constantly asking me to list her pictures on ebay .. She really doesn't understand that I just can't do that. So we are trying to curb her need to show off her skills.
